Broadway Week is January 22-February 7, 2013. If you go to theaters, there are no service charges (except that dastardly "facilities fee"); and no standing in lines in frigid or rainy weather. Just belly up to the box office or, if you prefer, the nearest phone or computer. You'll even be able to afford to eat out before or after the show.

Remember, with Broadway’s cockamamie show schedules, to check your tickets to make sure you arrive on time. Some shows start at 8 P.M., some at 7:30, some at 7, depending on the day of the week.

Kids' Night on Broadway
The Broadway League, The New York Times and NYC & Company will be kicking off the 17th annual Kids' Night on Broadway February 25 - March 3, 2012. Tickets to participating shows are now available. Here’s the deal: kids ages 6-18 can see listed Broadway and select Off-Broadway shows for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult. These special tickets include pre-theater party, theater district restaurant and parking discounts, special souvenir Playbill, study guides, and more.
The dining deal is that participating restaurants are offering a free entrée for each child accompanied by an adult who purchases a regularly-priced entrée. Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan, co-host’s of ABC/Disney’s Emmy-winning “Live with Kelly and Michael” are the National Ambassadors for Kid’s Night.
