The 13th season of the Town Hall's “Broadway by the Year” series gets off to a rousing start Monday, Feb. 11, at 8pm saluting 1937. It will be a very romantic line-up of tunes just in time for Valentine’s Day. Headlining will be Nightlife Award winning vocalist Carole J. Bufford; Stephen DeRosa (“Boardwalk Empire”); two-time Tony nominee and Drama Desk winner (along with four additional nominations) Brian d'Arcy James (pictured; Shrek; TV’s “SMASH”); Tony and Drama Desk winner (Jelly’s Last Jam) and long-time daytime drama “(As the World Turns)” star Tonya Pinkins (TV’s “24” and “Army Wives”); Drama Desk nominee Kevin Earley (“Death Takes a Holiday”); and Elizabeth Stanley (Million Dollar Quartet).

Among the classic and hit Broadway shows revisited from 1937 will be two by Rodgers and Hart: Babes in Arms (“My Funny Valentine,” “Where or When,” “I Wish I Were in Love Again,” and “Johnny One-Note”), and I'd Rather Be Right (“Have You Met Miss Jones?”, “What Good is Love?”); Harold Rome’s famed labor revue (collaborating with a number of famed lyricists), Pins and Needles (the satiric song-and-dance number "Doing the Reactionary"); Arlen and Harburg’s Hooray For What? (“Down with Love” ); Schwartz and Dietz’s Between the Devil (“I See Your Face Before Me”); and Franz Lehar’s operetta Frederika(“I Asked My Heart”).

Taking the audience on a journey through show-stopping numbers as well as lesser-known gems, facts and humor about 1937’s shows will be BBTY creator and host Scott Siegel.

Dancer (Chicago)/choreographer Mindy Cooper will be helming her first BBTY. Danny Gardner (of the Drama Desk-nominated Parallel Exit company) is returning to the series to dance, performing with Cooper. Ross Patterson is arranger and musical director, appearing with his Little Big Band.

Season tickets for the series of four concerts are on sale now, along with individual tickets priced from $45 - $55. They’re available through TicketMaster.com or (800) 982-2787 (service charges will apply) or at Town Hall’s box office or by calling (212) 840-2824.
